Start over and re-evaluate everything. Look at things at a more logic and sense-able manner. Ask yourself. Where do food naturally come from? What feeds that food I eat? or Does the food that I ingest need to be fed in order thrive and grow. Does the food have life? Am I eating Death or Life? How does food make me feel after I had just finished eating? Am I bloated, tired, uneasy or nauseous? Do I have sensitivity to what I eat? The questions rolls in continuously as you begin to wonder about food and its origins. The truth is these question arise everyday and to everyone. The never ending questions about food.

From young, we were taught and programmed by the people that we were surrounded by, our parents, grands, siblings, relatives and friends. We picked up habits or I say we were imprinted by habits based on our thoughts and surroundings. We pick up many of our characteristics from our environment and our families. Studies have shown that people that lives in suburbs or way off out of town tend to be calmer with less anxiety and daily stress. Would you say that is based on its surroundings or its lack of it?

If you imagine how you were imprinted by your food habits, way of eating and the food you ate you will come in full terms of why you eat the food you eat now? Or why you lean more to a vegetarian or non-vegetarian lifestyle. It matters not where or who your imprints come from, it is how you feel right now at this moment about the food you eat on a daily basis.

Many people who have lived a vegetarian lifestyle for the majority of their life have confessed that it is from being fed mostly whole foods from young or in other terms a lack of it, in which led to search for what is right for their body.

Some of us had food intolerance to dairy and meat product which made it a must for vegetarian food only. Or maybe an unknown intolerance to dairy and meat that we are so unaware of because it is something we have been use to all our life. Like the feeling of fatigue after a meal. Growing up I was taught it was normal to feel tired after a meal, understandably your body is using up energy to digest. In the other hand, if you are eating the right food your body will not take as much to digest. Our body uses what it needs, never more and we replenish it with healthy vitamin rich food, abundant in energy. The opposite happens if we remain to do harm by eating junk that only slow us down and break down our immune system. Our body is machine that needs to be maintained and kept in shape in order to run for a long while.

We can change this by unlearning what we use to think we knew about food and diet and really do some research. Understand yourself by paying close attention to your meal. What happens during the period of digestion. Are you always tired? Feeling dull, lazy with bubbly stomach? Or do you feel great, more energy than usual? No bloating of any sort?

Now pretend you know nothing about a food. You are a being simply learning and trying new things. Now just imagine what your first instinct would be like to food when it comes to your survival. As humans many of us would undeniably, if given an option, pick a fruit as oppose to a hamburger in order to survive. Why? Because we were taught to eat animals growing up and were expose to it daily through friends, family and the media. Instinctively in our true nature, we know plants are what we naturally eat as humans. We know it allows us to evolve and grow. It is what our bodies truly crave and need. We only want these junks every so often because its what we are “use to” eating. The great news is we can unlearn everything, start over and pick up better habits and learn true knowledge to healthy eating.

Plants naturally thrive on oxygen, water and sunlight. It thrives immensely with compose and rich nutriments from the soil. Plant is life. Junks such as chips, soda, candy, are dead food and I can say the same for animals used for consumption. I mean you wouldn't eat a live animal would you? I could be dying of starvation and grass would be plentiful for me instead of a live animal for dinner. No thank you. So lets move on. Plants are very high and rich in nutriments. They supply us with an abundance of energy to move around. Plants are healing, they are the cures and medicine for humanity.

Energy found in food are either pure energy or false energy. Pure energy is usable energy that allows us to move and function far more efficiently with great enjoyment in the process. Pure energy can be found highly in raw foods-vegetables and fruits. False energy is swift and short. You may sometimes feel rushed, unable to enjoy the process of your doings. False energy can be found in high sugary food and drinks such as candies, soda and energy booster drinks high in caffeine. We tend to crave for these substance because they contain addictive. It gives us a quick rush that last for only a short period of time. We tend to crash after it has worn out. They contain chemicals and harsh ingredients our bodies just do not like. They are a main source of disease and illness that counter interacts with our systems. We all have reactions to these ingredients, symptoms differ, some may be lighter than others, while others go unnoticed. It actually takes away from us more than it gives. Dead foods cannot sustain us, what we truly need are fresh whole foods to nurture ourselves and the environment that we are part of.

Do your research, analyze and make your decision based on what you feel is right for you and your body. Many of us have turned to veganism at first to pick up healthy eating habits and better eating options that not only benefit them greatly but also the planet. Study your own body, and its reaction to food, Experiment with varieties, become friendly with your stomach and feed it right.

With questions comes answers. If you have ever questioned where your food comes from or what the heck is on your plate. Well I'm here to say that “Hey maybe you had a hunch there.”

You are your greatest ally because you can only know what is truly right for your body. We are individual with separate individual needs, we may have similarities but not completely. We must honor that within ourselves. We must learn about ourselves so that we are able to resolve our very own issues. We are all able to heal ourselves through plants. Food is our true medicine, whole foods. Like mother nature it is here to nourish and flourish us.
